Q22Infrastructure and Automation

A cloud-native project is in development, with all source code and dependencies written in Python, Ruby, and/or JavaScnpt. A code change triggers a notification to the CI/CD tool to execute the CI/CD pipeline. Which pipeline step should be omitted?

IMO C, because programs written in languages such as Java, C/C++, or Go need to be compiled, whereas Ruby, Python and JavaScript programs run without that step.
2
C, as all of these are interpreted languages.
2
it is C,
C 2
Selected Answer: C The step that should be left out from the CI/CD pipeline for a cloud native project written in Python, Ruby, and JavaScript is the compile step.

C is the nearest right answer.

i will go with "C"; it isn't part of the CI/CD pipeline, but i think it is the closest right answer

In the building phase, code is compiled for languages such as Java, C/C++, or Go; for code written in interpreted languages such as Ruby or Python, the compilation step can be skipped.
1
Correct is C, because Python and Ruby are interpreted languages.

The sdist package contains a copy of the original source code in an archive. Some Python libraries have extensions written in C++/Rust or other languages, and when those modules are packaged into sdist, the end user will need extra tools (for example, compiler and header files) to install them.
C 1
Selected Answer: C C, since all of these are interpreted languages.
C 1
Selected Answer: C To be honest, even if the mentioned languages were not interpreted, a compiling step could be omitted without major harm. In any case, since those languages are interpreted, it simply makes no sense to include a compiling step at all.
C 1
Selected Answer: C I agree with the others. C is the only sensible answer.
C 1
Selected Answer: C all are interpreted
C 1
Selected Answer: C All the languages mentioned above are interpreted languages, so Compile Code isn't appropriate.
C 1
Selected Answer: C Python, Java and Ruby need to be compiled.
A 1
Selected Answer: A I would go with A, we do not want to publish code that has not been tested.
C 1
Selected Answer: C Explanation: In a cloud-native project where the source code and dependencies are written in Python, Ruby, and/or JavaScript, compiling the code is usually not needed. These are interpreted languages, which means they do not require a separate compilation step before running. A. Deploy the code to one or more environments is a necessary step in the CI/CD pipeline to deploy to staging or production. B. Build one or more containers that package up code and all its dependencies is a typical step for cloud-native applications to make sure that the application and its dependencies are containerized and can run consistently across environments. D. Run automated tests to validate the code is essential for quality assurance to ensure the changes don't break the application. Therefore, compiling the code is not a required step for Python, Ruby, or JavaScript applications in this scenario.
