I agree that the answer is A and B.
- Initial Template: The initial template is used to build a new server from a service profile with UIDs, but once
the server is deployed, there is no link between the server and the template, so changes to the template
won't flow through to the server, and any changes to items defined by the template have to be made separately
to each server deployed with the initial template.
- Updating Template: An updating template keeps a link between the template and the deployed servers,
and changes to the template (most likely firmware revisions) cascade to the servers deployed with that
template on a schedule set by the administrator.

A and B are right
- Service profile templates let you quickly create multiple service profiles with the same basic parameters, such as the number of vNICs and vHBAs, and with identity information taken from the same pools. There are two types of service profile templates:
• Initial—Service profiles created from this template inherit all the properties of the template, but will not be updated when this template is updated.
• Updating—Service profiles created from this template stay connected and will be updated when this template is updated.

Initial template
- Service profiles created from an initial template inherit all the properties of the template. However, after you create the profile, it is no longer linked to the template. If you need to change one or more profiles created from this template, you must update each profile individually.
Updating template
- Service profiles created from an updating template inherit all the properties of the template and stay linked to the template. Any changes to the template automatically update the service profiles created from the template.
