Q39Infrastructure Services
Refer to the exhibit. A network administrator added a router in Cisco DNA Center and checked its discovery and health from the Network Health Dashboard. The network administrator observed that the router still appears as unmonitored. What must be configured on the router to monitor it in Cisco DNA Center?

Unmonitored devices are devices for which Assurance did not get any telemetry data during the specified time range. Unmonitored devices are counted in the Network Health Score computation. They are used as part of the total number of devices against which the health device percentage is calculated.
Given Answer (B) is correct.

I understand what you mean by "did not receive any telemetry data". However, this is not the question. The question is how to fix the issue with the added configuration. Can anyone explain to me why B is correct, why should I configure a router with telemetry data? (i personally think the telemetry is generated at the router side, you will never CONFIGURE telemetry data, this is just a gathering of many data pointers over time).

Multiple options could say this message.
To onboard a device, dna need SSH cred + SNMP and good routing...
To telemetry count has cred+ snmp.

So probably B... since ssh cred is not there..

Selected Answer: C
I would go with C (see other comment for more info)

It can't be C because if there was no routing to DNAC, it would not show in the DNAC.

" and checked its discovery and health from the Network Health Dashboard". Just attention in question.

Answer is B, especially if you read deep into telemetry concepts during ENCOR OCG studies,
in any case:
An "unmonitored device" in the context of network assurance means a device that the system is unable to collect any performance data from within a specific time period, even though it is considered part of the network and is included in the overall "Network Health Score" calculation, meaning its status is factored in even if no active data is received about its health.
Key points about unmonitored devices:
No telemetry data:
This means the system is not receiving any performance metrics like traffic levels, response times, or other data points from the device.
Still included in calculations:
Despite not having active data, unmonitored devices are still considered when calculating the overall network health score, potentially affecting the overall health percentage.
Potential reasons for unmonitored status:
1
Device configuration issues that stop data transmission
Network connectivity problems affecting data collection
Device not properly set up for monitoring
How to address unmonitored devices:
Review device configurations:
Check whether the device is properly configured to send telemetry data to the monitoring system.
Check network connectivity:
Make sure the device can reach the monitoring system and that there are no network issues blocking data transmission

B is correct. C cannot be the right answer as the router is already discovered, if there was no route to DNA center we should not see any information at all about the device
