it says LAN traffic, so it has to be vNIC.
vHBA carries storage traffic like FC.

or is it B because maybe not all traffic in the server goes through the uplink, so we use the traffic from the server ports individually??

from the same link below, it also states that we can use the Ethernet uplink port as source. Why not use that, since we want all the traffic in the LAN?
