Starting with Cisco APIC Release 3.1(1), you can also create a read-only VMM domain. A read-only VMM domain lets you view inventory details for a VDS in VMware vCenter that Cisco APIC does not manage. The procedures to configure a read-only VMM domain differ slightly from the procedures used to create other VMM domains. However, the same workflow and prerequisites still apply. https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/dcn/aci/apic/5x/virtualization-guide/cisco-aci-virtualization-guide-52x/m-cisco-aci-with-vmware-vds.html
